UKI AND MOUNT WARNING - NEW SOUTH WALES

In my exploration of Mount Warning and the Uki region, I returned to the foundational practice of drawing and observation. Mount Warning, serving as both muse and counterpart, engaged me in a silent dialogue that unfolded over many hours. This exchange celebrated the potency of mark-making in capturing atmosphere, emotion, form, and story. The series, crafted through precise lines, bold strokes, and delicate washes, stands as a tribute to the mountain and the play of light upon it. Beyond mere representation, my mark-making evolved into a language that sought to express not just Mount Warning's visual majesty but also the profound sensations and experiences it evokes.
