This collection emerged during my time at Pea Green Boat Studios in Brunswick, Melbourne — my first Australian studio, which, despite its occasional warmth, offered a unique window into the area's rich blend of culture and folk. Here, far from Scotland's glens, I found myself immersed in the vibrant urban landscapes of Australia, its light and colour strikingly different from what I was accustomed to. I embraced this new environment, allowing it to shape a diverse collection that spans a range of subject, styles and colour palette, reflecting the eclectic essence synonymous with Melbourne.
